(4/5) Inexpensive High Suction Vacuum
By T. Ho
If you're looking for a non-professional price but a professional, powerful quality vacuum, I must say this vacuum does the job. I gave it a 4/5 stars for the following reasons:
First off, the vacuum comes with:
- 3 pipes
- 1 hose
- 1 dry and 1 wet filter
- 4 optional attachment wheels
- 1 Self screw-on handle (comes with 2 screws)
I have been using this vacuum for quite some time now and originally, its purpose was mainly for the garage. But then once my house was under remodeling construction, this vacuum was seriously put up to the test of its life. While it did suck up 99% of small trash I wanted to get rid of, it doesn't perform very well against fine plaster powder because I noticed that the plaster powder seeps through the filter (unfortunately). I originally didn't want to suck up liquid messes, but when a pipe broke during construction, water was everywhere and to my surprise, this vacuum actually saved the day and we were able to save the floors of my home. But I don't suggest using this to suck up water 24/7; when I say water mess, I meant like a medium size pool of water (7' x 5' of water coverage), I didn't dare to push this vacuum to it's limits when it comes to liquids and a high power motor inside. Nevertheless, this vacuum did perform quite well and accompanied a bigger and way more expensive vacuum by cleaning up the mess around a lot faster.
Here's the pros and cons:
Pros:
- Quite powerful suction for the typical user
- Very strong blower function
Cons:
- Design of storage for unused equipment is not so great (there isn't a place to put the hose and accessories after you're done with the vacuum, bummer)
- The hose is quite stiff (quite annoying actually because the hose will sometimes choke the vacuum, tip it over, etc.)
- The vacuum tends to tip over a lot (they should have distributed the wheels farther apart)
- Electrical cable isn't very long (having an electrical cord extension will solve this)
- The hose diameter is also quite small, approx. 1" (measured from the inside circumference) so anything bigger can potentially become stuck unless the sucked object is soft or brittle
- Doesn't have a true brush attachment or needle nose tip attachment (I would think that these should be standard)
My Recommendation(s)/Suggestion(s):
- When using this vacuum, be sure to have the back of the vaccum (that would be where the exhausted air exits) face AWAY from any light materials, especially debris you're trying to suck up, because it will blow it away. In this case, I suggest either buying a "street elbow PVC pipe" with the same/similar outer circumference that blows the exhaust air upwards (you will have to cut into the pipe to allow it to fit) preventing unwanted debris from moving behind the vacuum OR simply duct tape any cylindrical object of the same/similar outer circumference and have the air channeled upward.
On a side note, the first time I purchased this product it made a "clinking" noise so I had Amazon exchange it by sending a new one that arrived the next day. Also, when using it for the first time, it may have a slight odd smell coming from the vacuum; however, after three to five uses, the smell never came back.
With that, this vacuum will do the job of sucking stubborn debris (even spider webs and pet hair!, ...well most of them) plus liquids (but cleaning the vacuum after a liquid mess won't be fun). I use it mainly around the garage and in my cars and it works wonderfully.

Too tipsy
By Maestro
This vac is quiet and powerful, and it is compact and adequate for incidental dust removal in my workshop or a car interior. But it has two "problems" -- the hose fitting is unique -- I can't use another hose or extension -- and the supplied (not long enough) hose is stiff and unfriendly. Also, the unit is so "topheavy" that it tips over whenever you try to pull it even a little bit. I find that I am literally carrying the unit around to cover a 10 sq ft section.

Great product
By Don R.
I have primarily used this to clean out my fireplace and back porch. It performs great. The suction is very good. It is light, easy to move around and was very easy to assemble. My garage will be the next project for this vacuum and I'm sure it will do just fine there as well. I'm sure there are more powerful vacuums out there, but for the price and for the kind of use that I need this is perfect.
I have not used the wet feature yet, so I cannot comment on that.
