Great Little Machine!
By J. Somers
I bought this to fix a snow blower for starters and then all the other stuff that has stress cracks and touching up/ re-inforcement needs. I happen to have a 30 amp 110V RV plug for my trailer on the side of garage to connect to. I read the other articles about popping 20 amp breakers but I happen to luck out on this benefit. Welder comes equipped with a standard 3 prong plug for 110V household so I got a RV 30 amp male to 15 amp female adapter and all is good. Adapter is available at Walmart for $5-6 and nothing gets hot after running four 1/8 practice rods....I haven't welding in 20 years and it shows! Bottom line it works great!

Great little welder!
By Carey Netherton
I am a metal sculptor with twenty years of experience welding. I recently bought one of these machines on a whim. I needed a cheap way to weld parts together quickly. I did not know what to expect, but thought it worth a try. Without a doubt it was a great investment. I have used the unit quite a bit and have found it to be a real trooper. The one weakness I have found is that it has a short duty cycle. If I want to run a 2 foot long bead, where I am constantly going (at about 60amps) and burning through sticks, it will put itself in cooldown mode after about a foot. But I am cool with that and now know what it can and can't do. Just weld a bit and then step away for 5 mins. I really like the variable amp adjustment a lot- I can really fine tune things in to the way I want.
A great addition to my studio without a doubt.

Used it for a dump bed
By G. Berg
I have been using this welder on a frame for a 1 1/2 yard dump bed that I am making to mount on a utility trailer. It works with the smaller sticks 3/32". If you use the bigger 1/8" it won't take with a standard outside household plug. You would need to have an rv type plug in or something beefer than a standard. Works as intended for smaller projects. Have had no problems with it. If you need longer cord attach no less than 12 gauge.
