Lightweight and powerful

I've used for years an old indoor vacuum cleaner to help clean up in the garage, in my cars and other rugged duty. It performed fairly well and I thought it was doing a good job. Until I tried out this vacuum cleaner. The suction is incredible and is balanced with a case that is exceptionally lightweight for its size and capacity. We've used it to vacuum up materials indoors and out. It is especially useful in places like carpeted stairs and in small, hard to reach places. I would have given this a five star review, except for the vacuum bag, which is a bit awkward. Otherwise this is an excellent, portable vacuum you can use indoors, in your workshop or garage.

If I wanted to vac out the car, I had to do it at the carwash because I don't want to bring my big vacuum outside. This portable version of a shop-vac lets me bring it to the driveway and get the car clean inside. (And I have a dog--can you say "MESSY"? She just totally trashed the back seat despite a cover I have on for Her Highness. This vac solved the problem of having to go and feed quarters and use the long and annoying hose from a commercial vac--and if they don't empty them frequently enough, they don't have much suction. (That's common around here and very annoying. You feed in the quarters but do you get anything that could pick up as much as a dry leaf? Maybe, maybe not.)
As a shop vac, I'd prefer one of the large rolling bucket type you generally see around. But for my use (auto and garage) this is really perfect, and it also swept up some mess from the potting soil in the basement. Good for small jobs, where you want compact and portable.

POWEFUL, COMPACT, LIGHTWEIGHT, AND FUN SIZE

Love this little machine.
I ordered the WORKSHOP WET/DRY VACS WS0300VA 3-GALLON 3.5 PEAK HP PORTABLE CASTER with several ideas in mind.
1) To clean the inside of my vehicle. I hate having to lug my heavy vacuum cleaner outside. Putting the attachment on and off isn’t an easy task.
2) To keep in my crawl space in case of flooding. It would have come in handy this past year when we had uncommonly heavy rains that lead to water in our crawl just off our family room.
3) To clean the carpeted stairs. Putting on and taking off the attachment to my vacuum cleaner is tricky.
4) For potential spills.
5) For cleaning dog hair off the furniture.
My husband has had a wet/dry vac for years. Since he keeps it in the garage, it never comes to mind. Aside from the fact that it’s dirty from living in that environment, it’s heavy and awkward to transport. To have my own, lightweight, compact, well made, portable one in the house makes life easier. Though it would be nice if the hose and cord were longer, along with quieter, you can’t beat the suction! So much more power than my vacuum cleaner.
I have a hard time putting on the attachment to my vacuum cleaner to do the stairs and the furniture. Years ago, I purchased a tiny, yet powerful handheld dust buster type vacuum. Love the suction, but it doesn’t sit right, and is awkward to use, along with an extremely tiny canister to collect dirt which is tricky to open and close. This is not the case with the WORKSHOP WET/DRY VACS WS0300VA 3-GALLON 3.5 PEAK HP PORTABLE CASTER.
