Great Vacuums

One of the other reviewers rated this vacuum poorly. Actually, it wasn't that the vacuum itself was poorly quality, apparently from that review, but that supposedly the vacuum was less expensive elsewhere.
That vacuum that was $30 less, was a different model and, although slightly higher in horsepower, not as heavy duty as this Shop-vac model. This Shop-vac (Right Stuff - 5860210) is a great vacuum. Shortly after we purchased these units (5 of them), we did find them for $10 less (each) however, we are not going to sweat such a small price difference for a reliable, good quality vacuum. Further, the price was just recently lowered another $10 per unit. Again, not going to sweat "after-the-fact" (post purchase) price differences.

Good for small jobs, but the cord is too short.

I bought this for small jobs so I didn't have to get out the big 16 gallon Shop-Vac I own. What I like best is the filter system. Most of the other 2 gallon vacuums have a cloth filter that wraps around the intake. I had one of these type and it is very difficult to clean, but with the canister filter cleaning is far easier. My only complaint is the cord at 8 feet you either have to use an extension cord or continuously change outlets.

Like the size and versatility. Added an extra long hose so I can get in those hard to reach places. It was purchased mainly to use on our boat.
