5power plus comfort
By trtule
My body frame is small, so lugging around any vacuum is hard for me. I strap this on my back and can move freely through areas without straining to take the vac. And the power is much higher than other back-packs. As with any big tool, remembering to allow clearance as you move around objects is important. It comes with one floor attachment, but a set of attachments is available for crevice, brush work, and furniture. Great Vac!

4Quiet and convenient. but only 1 accessory?
By Goatcrapp
I bought this unit knowing exactly what I was getting into, but i hope to give a thorough enough review to fill in the blanks for customers who might not have seen it in person before buying.

First off - my uses: I may not be the typical audience for this vac. I use it mainly for renovation cleanup, so it falls closer to the extreme duty use, rather than typical home use. I also use a few behemoth wet/dry vacs. It's used to get where the larger units won't fit (carrying a large canister unit into a drop down attic, or crawlspace just doesn't work well, for instance, and buying enough extension hoses to reach all the way would cost as much as this vac, lol) The thing that strikes me the most is: this is a quiet unit. Easily the quietest of any of my other utility or wet/dry vacs (even the ones with sound mufflers on them) - basically, it's a motor strapped 6 inches from your ear, and it's not deafening or intrusive - you can carry on a conversation with someone else in the room.

Secondly, it's lightweight. I've used other strap on vacs, and some were heavy. Not back breaking, but certainly not a welcome addition considering cleanup usually takes place after a day of backbreaking work. The lightness of this unit makes it a breeze.

I've even used it with a larger hose, without issue (all my other vacs are 2.5" hosing) - but obviously a lower air velocity.

My only complaint is the included accessory: a> it only includes 1. If it were a medium sized brush, that might do, but it's a very wide brush, and while it's very useful for wide open floors, a smaller bristled brush would have been much appreciated. As all my other utility vacs are 2.5" hose, i spent the 10 bucks on another head - no big deal, but at the price point this vac is pushing, i would have expected another attachment.

As to the actual accessory - it's NOT a non-marring brush. If you're using this for gloss or finished hardwood, it can leave scratches. this may be an important consideration for some, and if so - spend a few bucks on a dedicated head for finish quality flooring. Over tile and etc - this thing is a dream. It's useless over carpet.

Now the debate over bags :) I've seen a lot of complaints about the bags being hard to find, and pricey. For my uses, i almost never use the bag. I only use it for very fine particulate, like drywall or metal sanding dust. Otherwise, i use the standard filter cartridge with a foam pre-filter over it, same as all my other utility vacs. Mind you i know i'm using mine for commercial work, so i have no hopes of a warranty anyways, but i've never lost a vac to dust invading the bearings, and i likely give mine more mileage than most at-home users will. Do with that information what you will... that's just how i use mine ;)

2Hate the brush head
By Marci Short
I ordered this vac after years of frustration with my upright. After reading the reviews, it seemed like a great solution. I have wood floors (> 3000sf), pets, and kids so daily vacuuming is a necessity. The vacuum came as described and was easy to assemble. It works really well but after only a few uses, the brush head broke. It's made of plastic and started to crack after one use.
I emailed customer service at Shop Vac to find out how to get a replacement under warranty but was told attachments are not covered. The following is the email response I received from Shop Vac:
"Sir the accesories are not covered under the warranty, you can not get the brush by its slef it come with the nozzle part number is 9063200 sells for 20.49 plus 6.00 shipping Walmart sells this nozzle in the hardware section, or you may call the toll free number 877-236-5750 to place a credit card order thank you have a good daySir the accesories are not covered under the warranty, you can not get the brush by its slef it come with the nozzle part number is 9063200 sells for 20.49 plus 6.00 shipping Walmart sells this nozzle in the hardware section, or you may call the toll free number 877-236-5750 to place a credit card order thank you have a good day"
Poor customer service (not to mention terrible spelling). I'm very disappointed to have to spend another $20 on this product already. I would not recommend this vacuum for this reason.
