Love the vacuum but don't buy the tools
By daydreaming shopper
Okay - I love my vacuum and reviewed that already showing how I loved it but I needed tools as it does not come with a brush, crevice tool etc.....anyways I ordered the tool package - it came in the mail and yes, the crevice tool was there and so was the brush but what the heck is the clear hose for? Silly! what a waste there is no way to store the tools on the vacuum which is absurd - YOU NEED TOOLS WITH ANY VACUUM - who the heck creates these things and sells them without any tools - anyways what I am more made about is that these tools you should not spend a penny on, use your vacuum tools - your ordinary vacuum tools they are plastic just like this ash vacuum tools and fit perfectly at least my hoover wind tunnel tools did - for me huge waste - wish the Love Less family would listen to consumers like me and create a ash vacuum with the tools sold with it that can be stored on board before someone else does - back to the drawing board I say on this one. Pellet stove hose, what a joke - it is this little tiny 12 inch long hose that is so stupid it falls off and does not stay on.....Please read this carefully - I am not one to complain when a product is not worth it but this is insane.

Tools don't fit on to hose
By Firefighterjake
Ordered these tools expecting the brush and crevice tool would be handy to clean my hearth and woodstove . . . however I was a bit confused as to how these tools fit on to the Love-less Ash Vacuum's hose.
I tried various methods and for the life of me could not figure out how these were supposed to attach firmly to the hose until I read another reviewer's comments about how he had to remove the end of the hose . . . something I had not considered.
After wiggling the end of the hose off I was able to firmly attach the various components . . . and now I am quite happy with this purchase. I would have perhaps given this product five stars if there had been more detailed directions as to how to attach the tools.

Useful but needs refinement
By NPmatt
I purchased this with my otherwise-outstanding Cougar vac (reviewed elsewhere) since the vac comes with no attachments and a vacuum cleaner without attachments is of limited use. Specifically, the attachments are good ideas but very poorly engineered. First issue was that the kit comes with no instructions for attachment. The metal pickup tube on the vacuum hose appears to be permanently attached but isn't. It must be removed from the rubber hose end to fit the attachments into or over the rubber hose tip, a matter that made my wife and me nuts until I figured it out. Secondly, although the brush is good to have and the clear plastic pickup tube is perfect for cleaning inside my stove's igniter port, under the burn pot and inside the circulation chambers, both attachments are difficult to attach properly. The vac's hose has very slight inner and outer bevels but the brush is difficult to slide over it and the clear hose stopper barely slides into it--the brush and metal pickup tube are chewing up the rubber hose end after just a few months of use and the rubber hose stopper barely inserts, popping out frequently at just the wrong times. The vacuum's hose needs a metal attachment collar or the rubber hose end and all of the attachments need better bevels. You'll still need a small paintbrush for tight areas and a putty knife to scrape the carbon from your pellet stove's burn pot.
