The complete kit.
By PRB
When you order the "system kit" version of this product you actually get the three products packaged separately and shipped in one box - as if I had ordered the three individual items (the saw, the "track guide" straight edge, and the pipe cutter guide). The bag for the saw has plenty of space for the pieces you see in the picture - edge guide, vacuum port, non-mar plate and spare blades), with room for the pipe cutter guide as well. The Track Guide is actually two 26" aluminum guides that can be connected together. That's extremely useful for working with 2' wide plywood panels, etc. I can't say enough about how well designed and well constructed the guide is: the aluminum tracks are substantial pieces of aluminum - not flimsy metal. The connector that joins the pieces is embedded in the bottom of one track and slide to join the two tracks, easily locking in place with two levers. The flip-guides used to align the track on your workpiece are unique - you pinch a spring lever together to insert them into the track and then you can slide them up and down the track with little effort - the spring level holds the guide in place wherever you put it. After you align the flip guides to your cut line you just clamp the track in place and flip the guides up out of the way so you can run your saw against the track and down the workpiece. The included clamps for the guide have a face on one side that slide into slots on the track so they have a flat grip - and the spring in the clamp is plenty strong to hold the track in place. All-in-all, this is another beautifully designed Rockwell product (I have their Sonicrafter tool as well and it's helped me work in some very awkward places with ease).

Better than the battery powered unit it replaced
By Yobo1
I'll give credit where credit is due. I have a battery powered "trim saw" that I've never liked. The battery, as it draws down spins the blade slower and slower and it invariably dies when I don't want it to. Finally chucked it and bought this saw. I like battery powered tools, but, I also like tools that do what they are meant to and this one does. I found that when I used this type of saw, there is always a plug near by or and extension cord that is used for other purposes in the area. Why put up with battery power's faults? This saw runs and runs well; haven't found anything that, with the proper blade, it doesn't cut and cuts cleanly. Light weight and easy to handle and I'm growing quite fond of the Rockwell line of tools.
The only complaint I have and it is a personal problem and wouldn't affect 99.99% of the folks that would buy this saw. I have RA and the "safety trigger" is a problem for my hands at times. That is a "disability" issue though, due to my arthritis, and not a design flaw of the saw. The laser guide is also a boon to my eyesight and the sometimes dim areas where you might use the saw.
Great saw for the price point and if you are tired of dealing with the less than ideal battery versions of a lightweight trim saw, then I can heartily recommend this saw.

Great tool for WOMEN!!
By Amor Cielo G Monjes
I am a female starting my own catering business and I needed to do some small projects using ceramic tiles as well as wood. I wanted a tool manageable enough for me to safely handle but to also produce clean cuts for what I needed cut. Without having a male always handy to help me out, Rockwell did an amazing job with my projects. It have me the confidence knowing now that I can be independent with projects using wood, tiles, and plastic mediums with this relatively lightweight and manageable tool. As a female, I made sure I practiced first to get a handle of it and to know what troublesome areas I might run into, but with Rockwell, everything was very easy for me to do. I highly recommend this to any females out there who might be intimidated with using such a tool because they think a man needs to be around to help them. This tool is great for women willing to try to learn how to use a DIY tool as starters. You will gain confidence through practice and then be successful and feel a great sense of accomplishment because you built something all on your own.
