If you have ever been frustrated by the inadequate clamp opening and clumsiness of most drill press clamps, here is your answer. The post quickly mounts to most drill press tables with slots or holes, a bolt passes through the table and is secured with a large ring nut. To adjust the height for up to 5" of capacity, simply depress the clutch (similar to a pipe clamp) and slide the clamp head to the desired setting. Hold down pressure is provided by the cam action clamp on the head which features a 1-1/2" diameter rubber foot to help prevent marring your workpiece

Not sturdy enough

The clamp broke in two at the neck. I was drilling through a piece of hard maple and the drill bit caught when exiting the far side of the board. The board torqued, and the clamp broke. cheapo metal.

nice addition

This has been a wonderful addition to my drill press. I am a little disappointed in holding power so I only gave it four stars. Putting 35mm holes in cabinet doors takes a great deal of support. Smaller drill applications work well. If you are doing small to medium projects than you will be very pleased.
