The original and still very good...maybe the best

First, for those who want to use velcro polishing pads with this unit, it does NOT come with a velcro backing pad. You can buy a PC backing pad (there are two) or you can, like me, for a few dollars more buy a "Meguiars Softbuff Dual Action Velcro Backing Plate For 6 1/2and 7 Inch Pads". It fits perfectly and works well with the supplied balance weight, works well with Meguiar's velcro pads and is reputed to be the best velcro backing pad.

The PC sander/polisher is the first DA unit used by folks for auto work and I think it is still the best. Great performance, great handling, great durability.

Very happy with mine...after the backing pad upgrade.

Great Sander for Wooden Boat

After borrowing a 7335 sander for my boat, I liked it so much I decided to purchase this newer 7346SP 6-inch model from Amazon. It is ideal for extensive sanding like I have had to do on a 1961 42 foot wooden Chris Craft boat. Changing paper is simple. Sanding time is way reduced from my previous palm type sander. I would highly recommend this sander to anyone planning extensive sanding or repeated projects requiring sanding. I have not used the polishing pad, but I chose this model which included it because I expect to use it in the future.

Best random orbital sander on the market!

I own 6 of these sanders which I use in my rustic furniture business. I have tried others but none hold up as the Porter cable sanders.
