Great Tool, blades are expensive though
By Daniel J. Waters
I have been waiting for Dewalt's version of the oscillating saw.
It works great. I have used it on dimensional lumber, drywall, molding and PVC. I hit a couple of nails with the wood blade, it rubbed the teeth out. So, I have been leery of trying the bi-metal blade on nails, being as expensive as they are.
I haven't used the sander yet.
Pros:
Plenty of power.
Blade change is easy.
Variable speed is nice.
Cuts fast.
Grip is comfortable (I have small hands, smaller end of grip is perfect)
LED light is actually useful.
Cons:
Don't hit a nail with a non metal blade, wrecks the teeth fast.
Blades are expensive (~$10 per blade or $20-25 for a 3 pack).
Blade selection is limited, but these tools are relatively new to the mass market.
I have bought the dewalt and rockwell universal fit brand blades.
I prefer a hard case rather than a bag.
Longer blade versions would be nice, but they might be harder to control.
Update: I tried the bi-metal blade on some framing nails that needed to be cut. After 4 nails, the teeth were gone in the middle of the blade.
I used the sanding attachment to finish some laminate counter top end caps. Worked good, but the sandpaper wore out pretty quick. Had to use 2 pieces of paper per end cap.
Just saw Lowes has this on sale for $139

Glorious device!
By Jonathan
The only possible way this device could be better is if you did not need a cord. However, there is definitely some benefit of never running out of power which is what happens with any battery. I imagine that a highly efficient battery powered brushless version of this tool is just around the corner (by Christmas?), but I don't know.
Ergonomically, this is device is pretty awesome. It's weird but I actually feel proud to own it. I bought the Milwaukee 12v (cordless) version the day before because I wanted a cordless version, but returned it immediately because it just felt so cheap in my hands, like an immitation Chinese knockoff (and I typically like Milwaukee products).
This is a very solid device. You will not go wrong with this purchase. I highly recommend it to all.

Its the one tool you never knew you always needed!!! A++++
By Chris Eastin
I am a huge Dewalt fan at least for their cordless power tools. Countless 18v tools to recently upgrading all of them to 20v Max tools. Which I love by the way! This is actually the first corded tool I have ever bought new lol. It is so useful like the title says its the 1 tool you never knew you needed. This also has 2 features other brand lack on first a blade/bit that can be removed by the old and slow bolt method or you can use the Dewalt quick release way! Oh yes quick release!! The dual position pressure sensitive trigger is also awesome! Using other brand blades perform perfectly with this saw too. I do still wish there was a 20v option or any style of cordless would even be good. Either way I highly recommend buying this one. With already a good variety of options available Im sure more to come after a few weeks or so this tool was just released!!
