Good compounds

Can't go wrong with this stuff. Compared to other buffing compounds, this is just a bit softer which is both good and bad. Some bars of compound are harder but this means they break easier and chunks chip off if you accidentally drop it. This is slightly softer so it doesn't break/chip if you drop it. Also, it loads the wheel quickly but just a little too much pressure or speed while loading the wheel and there's a fine mist of excess compound dirtying up anything behind your wheel. Cuts just the same and lasts just as long. Once I got used to the consistency, I've liked it better than the harder compound.

Woodstock D2904 Black Buffing Compound

After ordering a Well Built Buffer from Amazon.com, I also order several Woodstock Buffing Compound Bars including this Black 1lb. bar for stainless steel and Iron, though I will need to order a wheel just for this use. These are quite large, about 8"x2" and are a good 1lb or more. It does not look like the one shown, and is really black and has a chinese writing pressed into the top.
