Perfect for the Job!
By Bmckeon1
I read all the reviews about the different polishers available as I planned my kitchen remodel. I was nervous because I'd never done this before and the special order granite tiles weren't cheap. I based my buying decision on a review I read and I felt that I should do the same for someone else. If you're loking around and don't know who to believe, rest assured, this kit works great. I'm just a regular DIY guy and this kit was easy to use and it did a great job. My only complaint was that they didn't include any instructions, as was noted by the reviewer I read as well, but it's manageable if you look at what they give you. FYI - the metal hose clamp they include holds the water shield in place; without it the rubber shield vibrates loose and starts whipping around. It blasted my thumb on first use before realizing what it was for. I built a simple polishing table using 2x4's and a plank to hold the tiles in place and set that on sawhorses in the yard. I laid out the countertop edge on the table and clamped them down flush so I could polish a consistent edge along the run. My advice; do this job in warm weather and do it outside. The water keeps the dust to a minimum but you're gonna be soaking wet head to toes when you're done. Goggles helped. I loved this project, although it took a long time to perfect the edges to my liking. It beats the heck out of paying someone $10/linear foot to do this for you and you have the control to make changes when needed. Just use the sanding pads in the proper succession and don't skip any. You'll be impressed with the results!

Great tool, Great price
By MN Jen
At 1/3 the cost of comparable product, this wet polisher has proven to be very effective in a variety of stone and concrete DIY projects. The water line is a little tricky to attach properly and should be improved to accommodate individuals who lack common sense. The tools price and performance makes it a great value for the money and a helpful service department, functionality and full warranty makes this kit a winner in my book.

Perfect for countertops...
By DJ
I'm not one to write a review on everything I buy, but couldn't resist with this one. I read some of the 1-star reviews and almost passed on this polisher. So this review is more of a response to their "negatives".
First- the ARE instructions for assembly. There is a picture, and there are written step-by-step instructions in the manual. That being said, if you are at a loss and can't figure out how to install the handle (2-allen bolts), guard (1 hose clamp), and the water valve (one nut), you probably shouldn't be around power tools without additional supervision.
Second- there is a washer included in the kit for a reason. If you're complaining about your bit/attachment being "stuck", and you're stripping out the supplied wrench because you have to wrench on it that hard, you probably didn't use it. Every attachment I have removed has come off very easily with the wrench and a slight twist of the attachment with my hand.
Lastly- the guard. Be sure to slide the guard over the spindle (don't attach yet), secure your attachment with the wrench, then slide the guard up into position and secure it. Simply do the opposite to remove.
Positives--- The polisher operates flawlessly and and always seems to run nice and cool even under heavier loads. It's comfortable to handle and well balanced. I had very little hand/arm fatigue even after using it for a few hours on end. The polishing pads are of high quality and do a fantastic job. The 50 grit is great for bulk removal of high spots, and the assortment of finer grits do a great job of getting your surface to a super smooth finish. The GFCI on the power cord functions as it should and is easy to reset if needed. It also has a visual indicator to show you the status (tripped/reset). They also include a spare set of motor brushes for future replacement... that's really a nice bonus!
Negatives--- The on/off switch feels a little cheap and awkward. So far it's been fine, but something a little more sturdy would be great. The ad mentions a 10,000 grit pad, which nobody seems to get in their kit, including me.
Overall- this is a great polisher that really performs. If I were polishing concrete/stone every day, I'd might spend the $300+ for the Makita or something along those lines, but the quality of this polisher definitely exceeded my expectations. This tool is a value in my book. Don't hesitate on choosing this polisher for your next job.
