I thought I did my homework but not well enough I guess. I saw the video of this machine being use on an opal and thought I could make cabochons with it. And I did. It was very messy and did an ok job until I was sent poor quality diamond disks (4th set). With the poor quality disks, it did nothing but ruin my cabs. With what I paid for this and all the accessories I could have bought a diamond pacific Genie. I now have a Diamond Pacific Bigfoot and plan to get the Pixie. So, do not buy this machine for making cabochons. Buy the right machine and you will be happier. I wish I did not waste money on this machine. Plus after 3 months it has power surges and doesn't work well on anything at all.

Dream come true.

I ve been wanting to get one for a while. I do crafts and jewelry designs. Now I can shape and buff what ever I am doing fast just by switching a wheel. The change is quick and I can just keep going. Looking foreword to trying this out on gemstone.
