Good jacket for the price
By RJ
At the time of this writing, the image associated with the product is inaccurate. It shows a light brown jacket with a black collar lining and neck closure. That design is discontinued. I uploaded a pic of what the jacket really looks like; dark brown and with an unlined, open collar. If you need a closed collar for your situation, you need to be aware of this new design. That little spot right under your Adam's apple, where your neck joins the body, will either have to hide behind your face mask or you'll need to wear something to shield it if you decide to get this jacket.
The overall quality of the jacket is actually pretty good. The leather is sturdy without being stiff. The jacket was chrome tanned and is unlined. The sleeves are spacious enough to leave the hands able to turn even with gauntlets on, and the cuffs each have two snap closures. Speaking of which, the snaps on the sleeves and body all open and close pretty easily, but they don't seem flimsy, either.
As for the fit, I'm pretty satisfied. I stand 6'3" (191cm) and weigh about 270lbs (122kg), and the hem hits me just below the belt, but not long enough to get in the way of an apron. With my arms out, the cuffs end at the knuckles. With gauntlets on, the cuffs remain out of the way. The body of the jacket fits well and isn't tight across the middle at all. In talking about fit, that's what impressed me the most; they didn't skimp on the leather.
So for fifty bucks, I'd say you can't go wrong with this one.

Worth the dough.
By Francis E. Smith
Sleeves are a little short for a guy that is 6'3 but still long enough for protection with appropriate welding gloves. Great quality.
