why would you buy any other saw?

I grabbed this saw last week while surfing on my lunch break. I want to build my own deck and fence in the back yard and this saw seemed like a no-brainer for the price. It arrived two days later and even my wife was impressed with my new purchase. I spent the better half of the weekend framing the deck and the saw blasted through wet pressure treated 2x10's with ease. I was especially pleased to find that it came with a really nice blade (already installed!) and the dust blower worked as well as in the video. I am happy with my purchase and can honestly say it is worth every penny!

I was having problems cutting thin strips for a kayak using a table saw, I have a makita cordless saw, but battery power would not last long enough for all the strips I need to cut. So I bought this circular saw built a jig for it and in the last two days I have cut about 200 strips, from wood up to 5 cm thick. It did not overheat or even pause when going through thick stock after hours of work.
Light but still solid, great carbide blade comes with the saw and a great value. I highly recommend it.

Bought this saw while working on a deck. Can't believe how light weight it is for the power that you get out of it. Didn't realize Hitachi made such good stuff.
