4Good product for the price

I ordered this drill press as a gift. It arrived today in good shape with the exception of a small crack in the top cover over the belt. Easily repaired with a bit of Super-glue. The laser is not centered but it can be adjusted. For less than $100 this can not be beat. Good strong motor, turns a 3/4 inch bit through hardwood easily if the speed is properly adjusted for the bit size and material being drilled.

5Still Going Strong

I have had this drill press for 4 years now. I'm not saying that I do an extensive amount of work, but for the amateur who wants an inexpensive drill press for small projects, this thing has been great. Showed up with some minor cosmetic damage but a quick trip to an authorized repair center and that was all replaced. I'd recommend anyone who wants to dabble in projects that require a drill press to look into this one.

3Actually 3.5 stars but since I can't do that....

I just purchased this drill press last night from a "big box" store for $129.00 and set it up. First of all, it does drill smoothly with no visible runout. It is much quieter than I had anticipated and the lasers are spot on right out of the box no matter where the table height is set.(I don't personally think they are all that useful but the batteries came with it so I tried it out) I obviously can't speak to it's longevity. The downside is that it is made rough. It comes from China and looks like it. Once you take it out of the box, wipe off all of the grease and start setting it up you get a pretty good idea that it is definitely a $129 drill press. Before my purchase however, I looked at all the reviews I could find and this one seemed like a good bet, so I bought it. I only plan on using it for light duty wood working. The table is nice and big with a rectangular shape, which is what I prefer, but I still plan on making my own with a fence. The worst part of the drill is the table height adjustment. It isn't machined smooth but I am hoping some more grease will ease that difficulty. The depth gauge and the table angle gauge are just stickers so I wouldn't recommend putting a lot of faith in them. For my purposes it is worth the money, so long as it lasts more than a few years, but if you can buy higher end, you probably should.
