Containing 30/40 grit diamond the BR 4" diamond cup wheel is aggressive and best used for applications involving heavy stock removal. The pads in this kit are not general or ?all purpose? polishing pads. They are professional grade 5 inch 6mm thick diamond polishing pads. BR diamond pads have been manufactured with advanced hard bond resin matrix to maximize life when used on abrasive concrete surfaces. Above normal concentration of premium diamond enable faster stock removal speeds and quicker overall polishing results while maximizing pad life. When used in sequence from 50 grit to 3000 grit BR diamond polishing pads will create a remarkable polished concrete surface. Grinder

I purchased the Buddy Rhodes grinder to create concrete countertops. I have seen them online and in magazines , but was surprised at how smooth and shiny I was able to get the concrete using the grinder. Having a built in GFCI Breaker I was able to work without being electrocuted. The only problem I had withh the unit was the water feed lever came loose. The nut holding it unscrewed as there was no lock washer.

Worked well, decent construction. It worked as it should but the third time I tried to use it didn't start. They sent me a new one and said there could have been water in variable speed function. It just delayed the project a couple days. I'm glad I spent a little more money on this one because most reviews I read on cheaper ones didn't have such luck.
Also if you live in colder climates remember to keep it from freezing. I left it in the shed one night and the valve froze and cracked. Easy repair with an air valve and compression fitting.

Worth the money!

Quality product, gets the job done! Easy to use even for the novice (me). No one in our area had a polisher to rent so we had to purchase one. We settled on this and couldn't be happier.
