This tool is wonderful.

This vise is very solid and the cranks are very nice. The only problem is that the ways are shimmed and the shims are held in place with set screws. The problem with this system is that if they are loose, the feed is sloppy. If they are too tight, the cranks are really hard to turn (or impossible). It takes a careful balancing act to make them work out right. Other than that, this system is very nice and a steal at this price.

Vise

You get what you pay for. This is not a five hundred dollar vise. It is adequate for the job required of it. The bottom slide works exceptionally well, but the top leaves something to be desired. Had to dismantle the device and file out the rough castings and lubricate the H out of it to get it to work smoothly, though the top still catches a bit. Would I recommend it?
For the money, absolutely. If your using it in a high end machine shop, probably not.

I got this for use in my drill press and it was larger than I expected. Really my fault and the vise would work well otherwise.
