The low Amp 120V motor starts easily in cold weather or with extension cord and at only 20-Pound it is easily portable. It has a low noise motor at 79 dBA (Tested per ISO3744) for a quieter work environment. The fully enclosed design provides protection from hot or moving parts. Good Value

Good value for the price. The air hose is chintzy, but easily replaced, when necessary, with standard 1/4" NPT hose from any major hardware store. The air flow rate is far greater than tankless air compressors, so this is a much better choice for automotive, truck, bus or RV tires. It would be over-kill for smaller tires. I didn't think it was too noisy, unless you have it very close to your ears when operating. There is an easy cure: get more hose. I don't think pulling on the ring of the relief valve to bleed off tank pressure is a good idea. It is noisy and will wear out the valve prematurely. It is also hard on your finger. Install a trigger-operated inflator instead and bleed off at the hose end instead of at the relief valve. I have only used it a few times, but am very pleased with performance so far. Durability remains to be seen. Bear in mind that the manufacturer recommends tank replacement in 10 years, regardless of how often it has been used during that time. It should last much longer if used infrequently and if the tank is ALWAYS drained after each use.

beyond fabulous

a plumber for 35 years i am always looking for the perfect tool to replace what used to be the perfect tool in my truck. this thing is beyond fabulous. lightweight and well balanced when you grab and go it is also well protected by its case. it is as light and compact as all the truck compressors i've used but didn't have the tank to build up pressure for the air gun for blowing out lines. adjustable pressure delivery dial and a cord wrap that actually works. rubber feet let it stay put while in use instead of "walking around."

This product is a home-level compressor, primarily designed for filling tires around the house. Not good for air tools or such. The very same product is available from Sears as the Craftsman Model# 15309. The warranty is one year and only covers the compressor not the hose or accessories. My guess is that sending the unit for warranty work would be a hassle to say the least.
Initial setup requires a couple of wrenches and the included plumbers tape. As stated in previous reviews, the hose and accessories are low quality and you will need some basic additional items to be functional.
I ordered the Campbell Hausfeld MP6000 Tire Inflator with Gauge from Amazon ($17.24) and picked up a Kobalt 1/4-in Coupler Plug Kit Item # 352 ($5.48) from Lowes. The Kobalt kit gives you a quick connect coupler to the end of the hose, a male quick connect for the tire chuck and a female quick connect for the Campbell Hausfeld MP6000. I haven't bought a better hose yet, but I will, the next time I go to Lowes. The MP6000 (or something similar) allows you to control and measure the air flow to the tire. It is a MUST.
After assembling the above, I filled 12 car tires, a snow blower and riding mower. All worked fine. Not as fast a gas station fill, but incredibly faster than the old Campbell Hausfeld CC 2300 Portable I'd had for years.
