NEW YORK (January 30, 2014) Reince Priebus, the head of the Republican National Committee, is urging GOP officials to avoid appearances on MSNBC because of what he called the network's "petty and demeaning" attacks.
The most recent incident that angered Priebus was a tweet by the network Wednesday that suggested the right wing will hate a new advertisement for Cheerios because it features a biracial couple.
MSNBC quickly tweeted an apology on the same account, but that didn't satisfy Priebus, who said Thursday he will no longer appear on MSNBC or allow Republican National Committee officials to do so.
Priebus urged other Republicans to avoid the network, where the shows usually lean left.
Priebus wants a public apology from network chief Phil Griffin. Griffin did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Put the internet to work for you.
