This product is necessary for the Oreck Air Purifiers - but I cannot tell the difference in the smell of a room between keeping a 6-month old Odor Absorber installed, or a fresh Odor Absorber.
This observation that I have made, along with the cost of replacements are why I did rate this item where I did. I just wish that I either noticed a difference by changing this item often, or the cost was less...

Hey what can we do? The item is pricy and if you have the oreck then you must purchase this item. Cheaper here than the oreck outlet so I'm cool and it works fine for me.

The area I am trying to clear up is larger than what the device is equipped for. But it does clean up the air. Just need to vacuum this filter every other month or so. But my house is old and dusty.
